If a new legislation takes place (baked up by several countries, among them Russia and Iran), the global Internet may quickly fall apart into a fragmented, completely controlled by local governments "territories". E.g., one proposal is "to force content providers — such as Google Inc., Facebook Inc. and others — to kick in an extra fee to reach users across borders"!
